Okay, so what's the deal here? Is this a different version of Baker's Dozen? Nope, just a sparkly looking one to celebrate the 1st anniversary of the launch of both Couch Electronics and the Baker's Dozen overdrive. It is the same under the hood, just finished in PEARL GENTIAN BLUE, which gives it the sparkly, jeans-blue look.
Functionally, it’s exactly the same as the original: clean boost to gritty overdrive, flat EQ, tone shaping, and volume control - all wrapped in a custom enclosure with custom knobs and a switch you won’t find anywhere else.
And it still requires a 9V center-negative power supply. There's absolutely no space inside for a 9V battery.
Fun fact: these enclosures were originally a happy accident - a color mix-up from the manufacturer - but they turned out too good to waste. So here they are, reimagined and repurposed to celebrate one year of solder burns, design tweaks, and kind messages from players around the world.
